Project application and funding timeline

The grant application is due March 20, 2017. Awards are usually announced in May-June and funding begins July 1. General questions about CAT should be addressed to Marla Coppolino at (607) 254-6541 or mlc247@cornell.edu. Financial questions should be addressed to Executive Director Tami Magnus at (607) 255-3374 or tjm33@cornell.edu.

How to apply

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not fill out the application unless you have a New York State industry partner. For questions, contact Marla Coppolino at (607) 254-6541 or mlc247@cornell.edu.

Download the CAT application here. It is a fill-in pdf form. IMPORTANT: Save it to your computer with this filename format: lastname_firstname_CAT_appl_2017.pdf, and when complete, email it (along with supporting documents) to Marla Coppolino mlc247@cornell.edu.

Obligations of funding receipt

  • Three PowerPoint slides containing images devoted to the concept, innovation and impact of your project.
  • A brief Project Update in mid-January summarizing activities to the end of December.
  • PI poster presentation at the annual May Symposium.
  • new project summary  and 3-page final report  at the end of the project period. For details, please contact us.
  • Please note that you will be asked to ensure your company collaborators complete annual economic impact reporting.
