George Grills Assumes Post as Director of Core Facilities

George Grills assumed a post as Director of Core Facilities and Director of Advanced Technology Assessment on Febuary 1st, 2006. George has a distinguished history of work with Core Facilities. He established and directed the DNA Sequencing, Genotyping, GeneChip Microarray and Oligonucleotide Synthesis Facilities at the Einstein Genome Center from 1994-2001; from 2001-2005 he served as director of DNA sequencing and protein microarrays as well as co-director of DNA microarrays for the Harvard Partners Genome Center in Cambridge, MA

In addition, he is very active in the activities of the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities, a professional organization dedicated to enhancing the technologies and operations of core facilities like ours.

George will work closely with the research community and facility directors to provide coordination and support for established and burgeoning core facilities, ensuring smooth, efficient operations, access to state of the art technology, healthy finances and an excellent relationship with the community we serve.
