Previous Innovation grant award recipient receives NIH Pioneer Award

Reproductive biologist Alexander Travis will try to harness sperm's locomotive power to deliver drugs via the five-year, $2.5 million Director's Pioneer Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  This represents significant followon funding for research emanating from his Innovation grant leveraged through funding from the Provost's office and the deans of the College of Veterinary Medicine and the CALS as administered through the Center for Life Science Enterprise.  For more coverage, please see http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/Sept09/NIHAwards.kr.html.
