This seminar will include an overview of Illumina next generation sequencing (NGS) instrumentation, technologies, and data analysis resources for large scale genomics projects available for researchers at Cornell.  Presentation topics will include Illumina NGS technology and applications, BaseSpace (Illumina’s cloud-based computing environment), library preparation strategies for large scale genotyping projects, and updates on the resources and services of the Cornell University Biotechnology Resource Center (BRC) Genomics Facility and BRC Bioinformatics Facility.  Illumina scientists will be available for consultation on specific projects, troubleshooting, and for general discussion of NGS technologies.
