Microbeam laser capture microdissection

You can use our Zeiss microdissection system to extract cells or other regions of interest from tissue sections.

The particular cells, groups of cells, or other features you encircle on the screen will be automatically cut out and catapulted into an Eppendorf tube by a pulsed UV laser.

Sample usually consists of fixed or frozen tissue sections placed on specialized microscope slides, but you can also use this platform for other thin specimens (~10 um thick), such as live attached cells or specialized films.

Please contact us to receive training before using this instrument for the first time.
