Protein samples should be in solution, and can be analyzed by either of the following ways:

• by online LC-MS (for desalting and relatively complex)
• by infusion or loop injection for purified proteins without need of desalting
• by infusion or loop injection for most protein-ligand or protein-protein non-covalent interactions under native conditions
