Protein identification

We can perform protein identification on samples from any of the following sources:

  • gel-based separated proteins (on either 1D gel or 2D gel) and solution-based purified proteins
  • or chromatographic fractionated proteins
  • IP pull-down
  • cell lysate
  • protein extracts from complex tissue or from laser-captured microdissection.

Protein samples will be denatured, reduced, alkylated and enzymatic digested.

After sample cleanup for digests, enzymatic peptides will be analyzed by nanoLC-MS/MS followed by database search for sequencing peptides and therefore, protein identifications were inferred by peptide identifications.
