Cornell iGEM team

The Cornell Institute of Biotechnology is a proud sponsor of Cornell iGEM.

Cornell iGEM is an undergraduate student research team that uses synthetic biology to create applicable solutions to solve real-world problems.

Each year, they compete against 300+ multidisciplinary teams from all around the world at the iGEM Giant Jamboree, hosted by the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Foundation.
In a long tradition of medals and award winning, the 2017 team earned a gold medal and the Best Supporting Entrepreneurship award for their project, Oxyponics.
